Laguna su tela. I cambiamenti del volto di Venezia dai quadri vedutisti ai giorni nostri

This thesis explores the evolution of the city of Venice from the landscape paintings to the present day, analyzing the changes it has undergone over time. After having examined the pictorial genre of vedutismo, the formation of the Venetian lagoon and the history of the Serenissima, through a comparison, for some case studies, between the eighteenth-century city and today's city, this study offers an in-depth vision of the evolution of Venice over the centuries, highlighting the tensions between tradition and modernity that characterize its history and its present.

Questa tesi esplora l'evoluzione della città di Venezia dai dipinti dei quadri vedutisti fino ai giorni nostri, analizzando i profondi cambiamenti che ha subito nel corso del tempo. Dopo aver esaminato il genere pittorico del vedutismo, la formazione della laguna veneta e la storia della Serenissima, attraverso un confronto, per alcuni casi di studio, fra la città Settecentesca e la città odierna, questo studio offre una visione approfondita dell'evoluzione di Venezia nel corso dei secoli, mettendo in luce le tensioni tra tradizione e modernità che caratterizzano la sua storia e il suo presente.
