The aim of my thesis is to analyze the multilingual traits in the linguistic repertoire of the Nigerian community in the city of Padua. Chiefly, I will examine how the Igbo-Nigerian community members’ language is influenced by Italian and the local Veneto dialect, in which situation it is used and how it is perceived.
