This paper aims to meet and get to know the experiences of bisexual people, or bi+, who live in northern Italy. The thesis focuses in particular on the nodes of (self)representation and (in)visibility involving those who recognize themselves under the Bi+ umbrella. To better understand the chosen nodes and their sub-themes, we proceed first through a summary of the historical evolution of the terms and meanings of bisexuality in the Western scenario, to then review some of the hot topics that are highlighted today by bisexual activism and research and, lastly, to present an analysis on the theme, using some social science methods such as: narrative interviews with 12 bi+ people, ethnographic experiences in physical places and events and nethnography (or digital ethnography). The results of the analysis are then compared with the recent anthropological and sociological literature concerning the theme of bisexuality.

Abstract
The results of the analysis are then compared with the recent anthropological and sociological literature concerning the theme of bisexuality.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
