LE PAROLE, I NUMERI E LE FIGURE Limiti e contingenze del linguaggio nella didattica della matematica: i casi “Italmatica” e “Matematicando”

The general hypothesis guiding this research is the undeniable fact that the limitations of language represent a fundamental challenge in the teaching and learning of mathematics, but also that through the adoption of targeted teaching strategies, it is possible to work on these limitations. The reasons motivating this research lie in the awareness of the crucial importance of language in the transmission of mathematical concepts and in the identification of the need to develop effective pedagogical approaches to address the challenges associated with language in mathematical education. The main purpose of this analysis is therefore to investigate the ways in which the limitations of language can be overcome and promote more effective and meaningful mathematical learning.

L'ipotesi generale che guida questa ricerca è il dato ineludibile che i limiti del linguaggio rappresentano una sfida fondamentale nell'insegnamento e nell'apprendimento della matematica, ma anche che attraverso l'adozione di strategie didattiche mirate è possibile lavorare su tali limitazioni. Le ragioni che motivano questa ricerca risiedono nella consapevolezza dell'importanza cruciale del linguaggio nella trasmissione dei concetti matematici e nell'identificazione della necessità di sviluppare approcci pedagogici efficaci per affrontare le sfide connesse al linguaggio nella didattica matematica. La finalità principale di questa analisi è quindi indagare le modalità attraverso cui i limiti del linguaggio possono essere superati e promuove un apprendimento matematico più efficace e significativo.
