The scope in this thesis project is to re-use waste from electric cable’s cover sheath production process to produce a substitutive filler sheath. The waste assembler is called “materozza” and it composed by an EPDM rubber (Ethylene- Propylene Diene Monomer). This is a synthetic terpolymer obtained by the copolymerization of ethylene, propylene, and a diene (ENB) which has got two unsaturated sites for a copolymerization or to reticular. To produce a filler in an industrial field, it is going to start from a laboratory study, specially to find the right receipt to obtain rheological and mechanical characteristics (the last ones are ruled), then followed by an eventual scale up study. First, there is a research of waste quantity fluctuation, with an annual visual and a new regulation with a unification of the waste type was going to trash away. To verify the rule requirements, it is going to use techniques and methods like rheometry, dynamometric test and viscosity, hardness, scorch, and density studies. The first part of this relation deals with corporate structure, which is the final product that this factory produces and its product process. It is going to follow a raw material description, with a particular attention to rubber and how it was made and processed. To continue with the statistical studio of waste sorting to arrive at the realization, in the various steps, to filler.
In questo progetto di tesi lo scopo è quello di riutilizzare gli scarti ottenuti dal processo produttivo di guaina di copertura per cavi elettrici, per produrre una guainetta di riempitivo sostitutiva a quella attuale. L’insieme degli scarti è chiamata materozza, composta principalmente da gomma in EPDM (Ethylene- Propylene Diene Monomer). Questo è un terpolimero sintetico ottenuto dalla copolimerizzazione di etilene, propilene e un diene (ENB) che possiede due siti insaturi per copolimerizzare o reticolare. Per poter produrre la guainetta in ambito industriale si dovrà partire da uno studio condotto a livello di laboratorio, soprattutto per trovare la ricetta corretta per ottenere le caratteristiche reologiche e meccaniche (queste ultime normate) e poi per poter condurre le eventuali proporzioni per lo scale up. A priori si conduce anche una ricerca delle fluttuazioni della quantità di scarto prodotta, con un’ottica di previsione annuale e con una regolarizzazione nuova e unificata per la suddivisione del tipo di scarti. Per poter verificare i requisiti richiesti dalla norma si utilizzeranno tecniche e prove che spazieranno dalla reometria, alla prova dinamometrica e allo studio della viscosità, durezza, scottatura e densità. La prima parte di questa relazione verterà sulla struttura aziendale, il prodotto finito che viene offerto e il relativo processo produttivo. Seguirà una descrizione delle materie prime utilizzate, in particolare la gomma e come viene lavorata, per proseguire con lo studio statistico della raccolta degli scarti concludendo con alla realizzazione, nei vari steps, della guainetta.
