The following paper investigates the interactions between fashion, identity, and social media in the contemporary digital context. Clothing and personal style emerge as powerful means of individual expression, enabling people to communicate their values and personality. Social media platforms amplify this type of expression, offering users a global stage to share their fashion choices and contributing significantly to forming and projecting personal identities. The analysis begins with the concept of fashion and its impact on identity construction, focusing on communication through clothing. The connection between fashion and identity in the context of social media development, online fashion trends, and the phenomenon of fashion influencers are then examined. Finally, a case study on fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni and her identity representation in social media is presented.
Il seguente elaborato indaga le interazioni tra moda, identità e social media nel contesto digitale contemporaneo. L'abbigliamento e lo stile personale emergono come potenti mezzi di espressione individuale, consentendo alle persone di comunicare i propri valori e la propria personalità. Le piattaforme dei social media amplificano questa modalità di espressione, offrendo agli utenti un palcoscenico globale per condividere le loro scelte di moda e contribuendo in modo significativo alla formazione e proiezione delle identità personali. L'analisi prende le mosse dal concetto di moda e dal suo impatto sulla costruzione dell'identità, concentrandosi sulla comunicazione attraverso l'abbigliamento. Vengono poi presi in esame la connessione tra moda e identità nell'ambito dello sviluppo dei social media, le tendenze di moda online e il fenomeno dei fashion influencer. Viene presentato infine un caso studio focalizzato sulla fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni e la sua rappresentazione d'identità nei social media.
