The intention of this thesis is to present the notion of solidarity, not only as an abstract concept, but as a stimulus for the implementation of concrete practices, specifically analysing those aimed at asylum seekers in Greece. Furthermore, the paper focuses more specifically on the work carried out by an Italian NGO, La Luna di Vasilika, which has been working for years in support of migrants on Greek soil and with whom I carried out my fieldwork as an active part of the group of international volunteers operating in the centre of Corinth. The thesis is therefore the result of fieldwork that has generated various insights, but it has been further enriched by a reworking of previously published considerations by other researchers on the themes of migration and solidarity with migrants and refugees, in order to initiate a broader reflection that could also highlight the multiple meanings attributed to the concept of solidarity as the subjects taken into consideration and the circumstances change. To sum up, the text provides a general overview of the greek migration context and its official reception model; it then presents my fieldwork, paying particular attention to the project I was a part of, and finally sets out reflections on the concept of solidarity with asylum seekers, outlining its facets, various meanings, practical actions and critical issues.

Abstract
To sum up, the text provides a general overview of the greek migration context and its official reception model; it then presents my fieldwork, paying particular attention to the project I was a part of, and finally sets out reflections on the concept of solidarity with asylum seekers, outlining its facets, various meanings, practical actions and critical issues.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
