Correlati e precursori psicologici del disturbo da uso di sostanze

This paper discusses substance use disorder (SUD), especially the precursors and psychological correlates of this disorder. Starting with the general definition of this disorder, the aim of the thesis is to explore the various diagnostic criteria necessary for diagnosis and then show how recent research has identified the many factors (biological, psychological and social nature) that are associated with the disorder. The thesis concludes with a chapter regarding how the disorder should be treated clinically, dealing especially with cognitive behavioral therapy and new techniques derived from it.

Il presente elaborato tratta il disturbo da uso di sostanze (DUS), in particolar modo i precursori e i correlati psicologici di tale disturbo. Partendo dalla definizione generale di tale disturbo, l’obiettivo della tesi è quello di esplorare i vari criteri diagnostici necessari per la diagnosi per poi mostrare come ricerche recenti hanno individuato i numerosi fattori (natura biologica, psicologica e sociale) che sono associati al disturbo. La tesi si conclude con un capitolo riguardante il modo in cui deve essere trattamento clinicamente il disturbo, trattando in particolar modo la terapia cognitivo comportamentale e le nuove tecniche derivanti da essa.
