Workplace mobbing is often misunderstood or minimized, considered by some as a temporary outburst or psychological discomfort without concrete causes. However, mobbing is a tangible reality that requires immediate action from all stakeholders to ensure a safe and rewarding work environment. This thesis explores the phenomenon of mobbing in all its facets, analyzing definitions and contexts of manifestation, with particular attention to the Italian situation. Through an in-depth analysis of existing literature and empirical data, the psychological and social dynamics fueling mobbing and its devastating consequences on the mental health of victims are examined. The research also includes an evaluation of current policies and regulations at the European and national levels, proposing possible improvements. The interdisciplinary approach integrates contributions from psychology, sociology, labor law, and organizational sciences, aiming to provide a clearer understanding of the phenomenon and suggest effective intervention strategies.
