This thesis aims to examine the psychotherapeutic component within MDMA-assisted psychotherapy (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine), an emerging therapy for the treatment of psychiatric disorders resistant to other treatments, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This work is based on the analysis of data extracted from scientific papers published in international journals and studies registered on ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed, integrating the analysis of research protocols and adverse events reported in clinical trials. Through a thorough review of the scientific literature, the methods of integrating psychotherapy with the use of MDMA are explored, highlighting the therapeutic approaches adopted, treatment methodologies, and results obtained. The analysis of the collected data provides an overview of the psychotherapeutic practices implemented within this form of therapy, contributing to a better understanding of its efficacy and safety in the context of treating psychiatric disorders.
