Accidental injuries are a leading cause of pediatric mortality, and as such a source of public health concern. In first place are road accidents and the objective of this thesis is to analyze the propensity to accidents in adolescents aged between 14 and 16 years. Tools were used in the research, administered to a sample of upper two-year students in two ways, one collective and one individual. The instruments are: Cattell's Culture Fluid Intelligence Test scale 2 – form B (Cattell 2-B, R.B.Cattell, 1940); sMRT short Mental Rotation Test (by R. De Beni, C. Meneghetti, F. Fiore, L. Gava and E. Borella. Reworked by Vandenberg and Kuse, 1978); pedestrian behavior questionnaire; injury propensity questionnaire; Block Test courses - reverse form; IOAWA Gambling Task (Bechara et al., 1994); Go/no-go Test (Zimmerman and Fimm, 1992); accident questionnaire. In the analysis of the results, the role played by some cognitive variables and in particular by the visuo-spatial ability (with the Mental Rotations test) was taken into account.

Abstract
In the analysis of the results, the role played by some cognitive variables and in particular by the visuo-spatial ability (with the Mental Rotations test) was taken into account.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
