Differenze di genere al museo. Il potenziale dei musei scientifici nel promuovere l'equità di genere nelle discipline STEM.

The thesis initially investigates educational gender segregation in STEM disciplines by examining the factors that influence the exclusion of female students from STEM studies and careers. It then explores the concept of science capital as a tool for pursuing more equitable involvement in science disciplines. The inclusive potential of informal science education settings, such as science museums, is then analyzed, and strategies to promote gender inclusion in museum learning experiences are presented. Finally, the Museum Giovanni Poleni is presented, with a focus on the museum's inclusive educational offerings.

La tesi indaga inizialmente la segregazione formativa di genere nelle discipline STEM, esaminando i fattori che influenzano l'esclusione delle studentesse dagli studi e dalle carriere STEM. Successivamente esplora il concetto di capitale scientifico come strumento per perseguire un coinvolgimento più equo nello studio delle discipline scientifiche. Si analizza poi il potenziale inclusivo dell'educazione scientifica in contesti informali, come i musei scientifici, e si presentano delle strategie per promuovere l'inclusione di genere nelle esperienze di apprendimento museale. Infine, viene presentato il Museo Giovanni Poleni, con un focus sull'offerta didattica inclusiva del museo.
