Criminalità e minori, come le comunità educative sostengono i ragazzi

Starting from my experience of apprenticeship which I have done in the residential community “La Casa di Seta” in Camposampiero (Padova), afterwards it is proposed an analyses of the phenomenon of youth crime in Italy and of the role that community covers in the re-education of some minors that commits less serious crimes. This phenomenon in our Country has been growing and consequentially it represents a significant problem for society. The concept must be connected to the term “deviance” which indicates that set of behaviors which are against social normes and that very young people fulfill to have their social identity recognized. The main causes of kids trasgressions will be explained below. They can be resummed as: familiars; belonging to a peer group; organized crime; kid’s ethnicity; school dropout. Each one of this factors, above all family and school, have the task to move to prevent inconvenience that leads to youth crime, but changes should also start from institutions. An occasion which may result positive consists in community. It’s about environments suitable to guide the kids growth in every sphere of the person. This kind of structure refears to kids which families can’t fulfill to their job, but they can represent a ransom also for those that enter the criminal circuit. It will follow an explenation of the process wherewith it’s decided the entrence of a kid in community, of the meaning of “socio-judical probation”, of everyday life in community and what would involve the failure of the educational project. Subsequently will also be explained the role of community to help the kid to reintegrate into society, and to become autonomus. In this regard it’s foundamental the educator's role for the kid’s cure and for the creation of a stimulating environment to create a meeting point between adult and kid.

Partendo dalla mia esperienza di tirocinio, che ho svolto nella comunità residenziale “La Casa di Seta” a Camposampiero (Padova), di seguito si propone un’analisi del fenomeno della criminalità minorile in Italia e del ruolo che le comunità ricoprono nel rieducare alcuni minori che compiono reati meno gravi. Questo fenomeno nel nostro Paese è in crescita e di conseguenza rappresenta una problematica significativa per la società. Il concetto è da connettere al termine “devianza” che indica i comportamenti che vanno contro le norme sociali e che i giovanissimi compiono per avere riconosciuta la loro identità sociale. Di seguito verranno esplicitate le cause principali delle trasgressioni compiute dai ragazzi. Queste si possono riassumere in: familiari; appartenenza al gruppo di coetanei; criminalità organizzata; etnia di appartenenza del giovane; abbandono scolastico. Ognuno di questi fattori, soprattutto scuola e famiglia, hanno il compito di muoversi per prevenire i disagi che portano alla criminalità minorile, ma i cambiamenti dovrebbero partire anche delle istituzioni. Un’occasione che può risultare positiva consiste nelle comunità. Si tratta di ambienti atti a guidare al meglio la crescita dei ragazzi in tutte le sfere della persona. Questo tipo di strutture si rivolgono ai giovani le cui famiglie non sono in grado di adempiere al loro compito, ma possono rappresentare un riscatto anche per coloro che entrano nel circuito penale. Seguirà una spiegazione dell’iter con cui viene deciso l’ingresso di un ragazzo in comunità, del significato di “messa alla prova”, della quotidianità in comunità e di cosa comporterebbe il fallimento del progetto educativo. Successivamente si spiegherà anche il ruolo delle comunità nell’aiutare il giovane a reinserirsi nella società, ed a diventare autonomo. In questo senso è fondamentale la figura dell’educatore nella cura del giovane educando e nella creazione di un ambiente stimolante che vada a creare un punto d’incontro tra educatore ed educando.
