In this thesis we will study the interaction between motility and information exchange in an active matter system. After a brief introduction, we will thoroughly analyze the study carried out by M.Paoluzzi et al [1] on a system of particles with active 'run and tumble' dynamics that exchange information which leads to a change in the dynamics of the particles themselves. In particular we will focus on the continuous model, highlighting the phenomenon of MIPS (motility induced phase separation), a characteristic phenomenon of active matter systems. We will subsequently confirm the results obtained from the analytical study through data obtained from simulations of the model under examination. Finally, we will propose possible extensions in order to broaden the field of possible applications of the studied system. [1] Paoluzzi, M., Leoni, M., & Marchetti, M. C. (2020). [1] Paoluzzi, M., Leoni, M., & Marchetti, M. C. (2020).
