The present thesis aims to analyse the subtitling in Portuguese of 3 scenes from the film “La vita è bella” by Roberto Benigni. An examination of the choice concerning style, sociolinguistic aspects and translation conformity of the film language will be carried out. The objective is to verify the actual usability of the italian text in the Portuguese subtitles.
La presente tesi si propone di analizzare il sottotitolaggio in lingua portoghese di 3 scene del film “La vita è bella” di Roberto Benigni. Si procederà ad un esame concernenti lo stile, aspetti sociolinguistici e conformità traduttiva del linguaggio filmico. L’obiettivo è verificare l’effettiva fruibilità del testo italiano nei sottotitoli in lingua portoghese.
