With the Internet, experience has become more important than property. Social and economic dynamics have changed, and so have the tourist's needs. Tourism businesses must innovate to survive and grow. Adopting innovative sharing economy platforms such as Airbnb can be a solution. Through a study of the literature, market analysis and taking the open air hospitality sector, with Cavallino-Treporti, as a model, the paper aims to dismantle possible preconceptions about the collaborative economy and present it as an opportunity.
Con l'avvento di Internet il focus è passato dall'acquisto della proprietà all'acquisto dell'esperienza. Le dinamiche sociali sono cambiate e così pure le esigenze del "nuovo" turista. Le imprese turistiche devono innovarsi per poter sopravvivere e crescere. Accogliere piattaforme innovative della sharing economy come Airbnb è un modo per farlo. L'elaborato, attraverso uno studio della letteratura, di analisi di mercato e prendendo a modello il settore ricettivo en plein air con Cavallino-Treporti, mira a smontare eventuali preconcetti sull'economia collaborativa e a promuoverla come opportunità.
