Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are all the IT tools that can be used when communicating or sharing information. These include the most common ones, such as television, computers, Internet and emails, but also applications, social networks, online games, databases, interactive platforms and many others. These technologies are becoming increasingly important in all areas of our lives, including teaching and consequently the learning. For this reason it is important to analyse the effectiveness of ICT in this process. In particular, this study investigates the use of ICT in the learning of Spanish as a foreign language in the Italian university and how students perceive these changes. What emerges from the analysis of the data collected through a questionnaire filled in by 86 students of Spanish at the University of Padua is that they perceive the presence of ICT as something positive. Most of them state that they feel more motivated during classes in which ICT is used and they also believe that it would be easier to learn Spanish if this use were increased.
Las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TIC) son todas las herramientas informáticas que se pueden utilizar cuando nos comunicamos o debemos compartir informaciones, incluyen las que todos conocemos como por ejemplo la televisión, el ordenador, Internet y los correos electrónicos, pero forman parte de este grupo también las aplicaciones, las redes sociales, los juegos en línea, las bases de datos, las plataformas interactivas y muchas otras. Estas Tecnologías están ganando cada día más importancia en todos los ámbitos de nuestras vidas, incluso la enseñanza y de consecuencia el aprendizaje. Por esta razón es importante analizar la eficacia de las TIC en este proceso. En particular, este estudio investiga el uso de las TIC en el aprendizaje del español como lengua extranjera (ELE) en la universidad italiana y cómo los estudiantes perciben estos cambios. Lo que resulta del análisis efectuado sobre los datos recogidos a través de un cuestionario rellenado por 86 estudiantes de español de la universidad de Padova es que ellos perciben la presencia de las TIC como algo positivo. La mayoría de los participantes declaran que se sienten más motivados durante las clases en las que se utilizan las TIC y creen que sería más fácil aprender el español si este uso aumentase.
