In the following thesis, the meaning of Performance Society will be analyzed, referring mainly to the text of the same name by Gancitano and Colamedici. With a special focus on schools, it will address how this type of society influences today's school context and the individuals who experience it, especially the students. In the first chapter, the origins of the performance society will be traced, starting with Bauman's sociological analysis of solid society and liquid society, and arriving, according to this approach, at the one in which we find ourselves today: a gaseous, performance society. Concluding the first part with a proposal of the main places that are encompassed and influenced by performance (social networks, work, sports, gender, school), the second chapter will mainly discuss the educational institution from a sociological point of view. Furthermore, in the same chapter, a view of childhood and pre-adolescence will be introduced by referring to the Sociology of Childhood, taking into consideration Corsaro's work in the text of the same name. A new view of childhood will then be illustrated, proposing a view of the child and pre-adolescent that refers to interpretive reproduction theory. The third chapter will describe the internship experience carried out in an after-school program in the Padua area, with data collected through the qualitative method of participant observation. Finally, the field experience, where the teaching-educational relationship took place mainly with secondary school students, will be related to the theory expounded.
Nella seguente tesi verrà analizzato il significato di Società della performance, facendo principalmente riferimento all’omonimo testo di Gancitano e Colamedici. Con un focus particolare sulla scuola, si affronterà come questo tipo di società influenzi il contesto scolastico odierno e le individualità che lo vivono, soprattutto gli alunni. Nel primo capitolo si percorreranno le origini della società della performance, partendo dall’analisi sociologica di Bauman di società solida e società liquida, fino ad arrivare, secondo questo approccio, a quella in cui ci si trova oggi: una società gassosa e della performance. Concludendo la prima parte con una proposta dei luoghi principali che vengono inglobati e influenzati dalla performance (social network, lavoro, sport, genere, scuola), nel secondo capitolo si parlerà principalmente dell’istituzione scolastica dal punto di vista sociologico. Inoltre, nel medesimo capitolo, verrà introdotta una visione dell’infanzia e della pre-adolescenza facendo riferimento alla Sociologia dell’infanzia, prendendo in considerazione il lavoro di Corsaro nell’omonimo testo. Verrà quindi illustrata una nuova visione dell’infanzia, proponendo una visione del bambino e pre-adolescente che si riferisce alla teoria della riproduzione interpretativa. Nel terzo capitolo verrà descritta l'esperienza di tirocinio svolta in un doposcuola nel padovano, con dati raccolti attraverso il metodo qualitativo dell'osservazione partecipante. L’esperienza sul campo, dove la relazione didattico-educativa avveniva principalmente con alunni della scuola secondaria di I grado, verrà infine collegata alla teoria esposta.
