Art therapy is in fact considered a powerful tool that allows free expression of emotions and needs, fundamental for those who experience disadvantaged situations or who faces vulnerable situations. This research provides a detailed definition of the latter, illustrating its origins, theoretical principles and the different techniques used. Subsequently, the investigation focuses on the figure of art therapist, examining how this therapy can address typical adolescent difficulties, such as the management of emotions, personal identity and interpersonal communication. The objective of the thesis, is to propose an analysis of how art therapy can improve the quality of life and future prospects of individuals experiencing difficult situations. Art therapy not only promotes communication and personal expression, but can have a significant impact on emotional growth and self-esteem, promoting resilience and emotional well-being, contributing to the integral development of the minor within educational communities, facilitating social reintegration and family reunification.
