The research project aims to investigate certain psycho-social predictors of populism in the Italian context, starting with the definition of the populist phenomenon, examining its origins, its forms, and how it is fueled at the communicative level. Subsequently, some psychological constructs are considered, which seem to determine populist attitudes and behaviors, such as uncertainty avoidance, conspiracism, system justification theory, meaning-making theory, and relative deprivation theory. The investigation is conducted on a sample consisting of subjects living in the Italian context. It hypothesizes that the previously listed constructs, measured through specific detection scales, are capable of predicting the vote for a populist party. Additionally, it examines the psycho-social predictors that, within the sample, prevail as the best predictors of a populist political orientation.

Abstract
Additionally, it examines the psycho-social predictors that, within the sample, prevail as the best predictors of a populist political orientation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
