This thesis explores Phubbing, a new concept, coined from the union between the word phone and snubbing. It consists of ignoring the people around you using the smartphone, the internet and the new technologies that are completely around every individual nowadays. This means that smartphone use replaces the opportunity to talk, interact or participate in a social event. Unfortunately, this does not only lead to snubbing in social activities between adults (in the office, at a restaurant...) but also occurs within families and in many parental dynamics. The project, described in this thesis, aims to collect data on the excessive use of smartphones by parents and on the behavioural implications found in the lives of their children (aged between three and six years old) and tries to offer the parents different points of view and additional and enriching knowledge so that they can understand that limiting the time spent using the smartphone, and technology in general, is a victory for themselves and for the family environment and its development over time. This was done through six workshops, focused on sharing important digital wellbeing tips and techniques. It guided parents to acquire new information that can be used in everyday life to experience better family relationships and more conscious use of technology. The objective of the research is to understand whether the implementation of a path of seminars focused on digital well-being can reduce the use of phubbing and all the problematic constructs related to it. Abstract
