The growing demand for electricity and the need for more efficient transmission infrastructure have led to the development of new technologies, including Gas-Insulated Lines (GIL). These systems represent an innovative solution for high-voltage transmission, combining reliability and reduced environmental impact. This thesis analyzes recent GIL installations globally, including projects carried out in Europe and Asia. Through a comparison between GIL and traditional technologies, such as overhead lines and underground cables, the research highlights the advantages and challenges of these systems in various operational contexts.

Abstract
The growing demand for electricity and the need for more efficient transmission infrastructure have led to the development of new technologies, including Gas-Insulated Lines (GIL). These systems represent an innovative solution for high-voltage transmission, combining reliability and reduced environmental impact. This thesis analyzes recent GIL installations globally, including projects carried out in Europe and Asia. Through a comparison between GIL and traditional technologies, such as overhead lines and underground cables, the research highlights the advantages and challenges of these systems in various operational contexts.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
