Abstract
Parental Phubbing is defined as the act of parents using their smartphones in the presence of their children, instead of interacting with them (Zhang, 2023). A study by McDaniel and Radesky demonstrated that mother’s distraction caused by technology is associated with problematic behaviors in children aged 5 years or younger (McDaniel, 2018). This thesis analyzes the effects of Parental Phubbing on parents' mindfulness skills and on preschooler’s behavior; the validity of an interview on Parental phubbing administered to children was also observed. The sample was made up of 34 parents of children aged between 3 and 5 years old from nursery schools in the Spinea area, in the province of Venice.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
