The rapid spread of digital technologies, now present in every aspect of family life, has inevitably changed not only the adult world but also the childhood ones. Children are increasingly exposed to media at earlier ages, creating concern among adults about the possible risks that digital devices can bring to the child’s development .Many national and international studies highlighted this evercloser relationship between new technologies and early childhood, which often leads to children being labelled as digital natives. Comes from here the need for a pedagogical reflection, which goes beyond the historical opposition between Apocalyptic and Integrated, in order to start a process of conscious and critical digital literacy from early childhood. The goal is to make children active and responsible screen users and interpreters. This is the aim of Media Education, an educational process “with”, “to” and “for” the media, which is still little spread in Italy, especially in early childhood. In this thesis we wanted to investigate the spread, habits and usage by children of digital devices (tablets, smartphones, etc.) within early childhood educational services in the province of Padova. Through the contributions of educators and teachers we also gathered their opinion on the use of digital tools for educational and didactic purposes.

Abstract
Through the contributions of educators and teachers we also gathered their opinion on the use of digital tools for educational and didactic purposes.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
