The following paper aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities related to the employability of young graduates (undergraduates and recent graduates), focusing on their expectations and lived experiences in the transition from university to the labor market. Through a literature review, factors that influence employability, such as academic training, skills acquired (hard and soft skills), and the role of university education, are explored. The goal is to understand how these elements contribute to graduates' employability and their prospects for professional development. The empirical part of the paper is based on an exploratory survey conducted through a questionnaire addressed to undergraduates and recent graduates, aimed at collecting data on their career expectations, perceived skills, difficulties encountered and level of satisfaction with the preparation they received. The survey results provide insight into the main challenges and strategies adopted by young people to cope with the labor market. Finally, the discussion of the data highlights key competencies and suggests interventions to improve graduate employability.

Finally, the discussion of the data highlights key competencies and suggests interventions to improve graduate employability.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
