The thesis was carried out in two fifth classes of the "Dante Alighieri" school of the "G. Gabrieli" Comprehensive Institute of Mirano (VE). The objectives of this research were basically two: a first objective of a methodological nature, to demonstrate that teaching the discipline of biology through an experimental-laboratory approach brings better benefits in terms of learning compared to the traditional approach (frontal teaching), and a second objective, of a content nature, that is to provide students with basic notions on the functioning of the immune system. Specifically, before starting the course, the students of the two classes were subjected to an initial test, aimed at verifying their level of prior knowledge on the topic. Based on the results of this test, the experimental class and the control class were identified. In the experimental class the experimental-laboratory interventions (lasting a total of 6 hours) were conducted by the undersigned. In the control class, the same topics were instead covered by the science teacher using a more traditional teaching approach (frontal lesson). At the end of the interventions, a final test was given to the students, which effectively highlighted the achievement of better results in the experimental group.

Abstract
At the end of the interventions, a final test was given to the students, which effectively highlighted the achievement of better results in the experimental group.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
