The use of literature as the main resource for learning foreign languages has a long history. However, with the course of time, language develops in the same way as literature and becomes more complex. A growing number of teachers use literary texts in their teaching practices in order to immerse students into language learning and give necessary context without which language cannot exist. At the same time, the fast development of technology makes it possible for students to independently learn foreign languages. The matter of concern, is it possible for literacy to proceed with technology and become the very tool that could help students to learn language more effectively? This paper explores the history and development of literature as the main resource for language learning and takes steps to adapt it for learning through mobile app. The additional comparative analysis of the popular mobile applications for learning vocabulary selects the most effective practices and helps to identify gaps that can be filled by literature-based methodology.

Abstract
The additional comparative analysis of the popular mobile applications for learning vocabulary selects the most effective practices and helps to identify gaps that can be filled by literature-based methodology.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
