Anche i disabili invecchiano

In the elaborate section of the aging process in subjects with disabilities. Getting into the merits of the challenges and multiple discriminations these people face, after having having recalled the current legislation, I focus on the strategies to follow to accompany them in the best possible way in the difficult transition from specialized facilities for the disabled to those for elderly people. Finally, I present part of the internship experience I carried out at the "Opera della Provvidenza Sant'Antonio", where disabled people who have become elderly also reside.

Nell’elaborato tratto del processo di invecchiamento in soggetti con disabilità. Entrando nel merito delle sfide e delle molteplici discriminazioni cui vanno incontro queste persone, dopo aver richiamato la normativa vigente, mi soffermo sulle strategie da seguire per accompagnarle nel miglior modo possibile nel difficile passaggio dalle strutture specializzate per disabili a quelle per anziani. Infine, presento una parte dell’esperienza di tirocinio che ho svolto presso l’“Opera della Provvidenza Sant’Antonio”, in cui risiedono anche disabili divenuti anziani.
