Social media use is a phenomenon that currently can’t be ignored since its general diffusion, leading to questions regarding its characteristics and possible consequences. This article focuses on peer relationships in adolescence, particularly its possible transposition in the online world, investigating peer-to-peer support features and the process of self-disclosure. With the idea of an attempt to bring more clarity to a relatively new subject, recent existing literature was analyzed, and a summary of the experience of one self’s revelation online in relation to peer support procedures is presented in this article.
