This thesis project explores the efficacy of combining the novel oncolytic adenovirus AdV5/3-D24-ICOSL-CD40L with cisplatin, nintedanib, and paclitaxel in the two most aggressive and lethal ovarian cancer subtypes: high-grade serous and endometroid. The experimental studies were conducted on both 2D and 3D in vitro cell culture models. The 3D in vitro model was enhanced with a microfluidic device to replicate the effects of the vascular system.
Il seguente progetto di tesi è volto a valutare l'efficacia della combinazione del nuovo adenovirus oncolitico AdV5/3-D24-ICOSL-CD40L con cisplatino, nintedanib e paclitaxel contro il tumore ovarico. Lo studio è stato condotto su culture cellulari 2D e 3D. Il modello 3D è stato implementato con l'aggiunta di un sistema di microfluidica per mimare l'effetto del sistema vascolare.
