The following paper compares the language of fashion used in the French and Italian editions of Vogue, delving into the glossary of sportswear at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The multidisciplinary study, which combines contrastive linguistics, Roland Barthes semiotics and translation theory, reveals similarities and lexical differences within the fashion glossary. The survey shows that the language of fashion is not only a means of communication, but an important factor in the construction of social and cultural perception
L’étude suivant compare le langage de la mode utilisé dans les éditions française et italienne de Vogue, en approfondissant le glossaire des vêtements de sport lors des Jeux Olympiques de Paris de 2024. L'étude multidisciplinaire qui combine la linguistique contrastive, la sémiotique de Roland Barthes et la théorie de la traduction, relève des similitudes et des différences lexicales dans le lexique de la mode. L'enquête montre que le langage de la mode n'est pas seulement un moyen de communication, mais un facteur important dans la construction de la perception sociale et culturelle
