The professional educator performs his or her work in various social and health contexts, which require the ability to respond to different needs and complex situations, with precise skills. The Neutral Space service is a protected context created to support and facilitate family relationships between parents and children, especially in situations where the child's need has not been met. The following thesis paper, initiated by the study of the reviewed scientific literature, aims to explore the role of the professional educator and the educational relationship within the Neutral Space service with children who are victims of intra-familial witnessing violence. In order to work in this field, it is necessary to relate to different approaches, developing multiple personal skills. The professional educator, in fact, is one of the figures who stands next to the person in daily life and that is why he or she must possess good listening, empathy and relational skills. In this paper we go on to analyze the implications of different types of child maltreatment by focusing mainly on witnessing violence and its implications in child development. The role of the professional educator in addressing these dynamics and supporting children in their psychosocial development is also investigated. The work will focus on the importance of this service, a privileged place in ensuring the right of children to maintain meaningful relationships with both parents.

Abstract
The work will focus on the importance of this service, a privileged place in ensuring the right of children to maintain meaningful relationships with both parents.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
