Through this thesis, the topic of burnout in sports is addressed more precisely. The different individual and social aspects that influence the syndrome will be analyzed, such as the level of self-determination of the athlete, the motivational orientation and the degree of perfectionism that he holds. Furthermore, it will focus on the role that the figure of the coach holds in the development of the syndrome and how a harmonious relationship between coach and athlete is positive to avoid burnout syndrome. To conclude, the thesis will provide suggestions and strategies to apply to try to build and maintain a balanced and positive relationship between the coach and the athlete over time.
Tramite il presente elaborato, si affronta con maggior precisione la tematica del burnout in ambito sportivo. Si analizzeranno i diversi aspetti individuali e sociali che influiscono nella sindrome, come il livello di autodeterminazione dell’atleta, l'orientamento motivazionale e il grado di perfezionismo che detiene. Inoltre porrà l'attenzione sul ruolo che detiene la figura dell'allenatore nello sviluppo della sindrome e come un rapporto armonioso tra coach ed atleta, sia positivo per evitare la sindrome di burnout. Per concludere, l’elaborato fornirà dei suggerimenti e delle strategie da applicare per cercare di costruire e mantenere nel tempo una relazione equilibrata e positiva tra l’allenatore e l’atleta.
