This paper introduces the Control-Mastery Theory (CMT) developed by Joseph Weiss, exploring the main aspects and fundamental assumptions of the theory. In particular, the paper aims to present empirical research and a clinical illustration concerning tests directed at the therapist, in order to provide the reader with greater clarity regarding the therapeutic processes supported by CMT.
Con il presente elaborato si introduce la Control-Mastery Theory (CMT) di Joseph Weiss, indagando gli aspetti principali e gli assunti di base della teoria stessa. In particolare, l'elaborato si propone di presentare delle ricerche empiriche e un'illustrazione clinica in merito ai test al terapeuta, al fine di dare al lettore una maggiore chiarezza riguardo ai processi terapeutici sostenuti dalla CMT.
