This thesis explores the new relational dynamics typical of adolescents and young adults in the digital age, with a growing tendency to use social media, particularly dating apps, to meet new people and establish connections. The aim is to analyze this emerging phenomenon in depth, focusing on the motivations that drive young people to use such online dating platforms and the individual factors that may influence their use. Specifically, the study examines gender differences, personality traits, and attachment styles as potential predictive variables. The second part of the work is dedicated to analyzing the psychological and relational outcomes associated with the use of these apps, with a focus on mental well-being, as well as body image. In conclusion, the thesis aims to offer a critical reflection on the psychosocial implications of affection and relationships mediated by dating apps among the new generations.
