We live in a changing society, in which family forms are evolving together with relationships between people, breaking the traditional patterns linked to a heteronormative, cisnormative and patriarchal culture. In order to move towards a society that is capable of containing diversity in a peaceful coexistence, it is necessary for schools to recognise their educational role, also in relation to sexual identity issues. In this perspective, it is necessary to train teachers on how to talk at school about the multitude of sexual identities and about rainbow families. For these reasons, the research samples a group of Italianз early childhood and primary education teachers and students of Primary Education and investigates their attitudes towards sexual identity and rainbow families issues and their opinions and experiences in dealing with these topics at school. A training need emerged from the data, which led to the realisation of a short teacher training course on the same topics, carried out with a small part of the starting sample. In this dissertation, the topic of rainbow families is discussed in more detail, so in the initial part are presented rainbow families (in the Italian context). Then it's proposed a reflection on why and how to talk about them at school. In the part where the research is presented, data on the subject of rainbow families is discussed in more detail.
Viviamo in una società che cambia, in cui le forme familiari si evolvono insieme ai rapporti tra le persone, rompendo gli schemi tradizionali legati a una cultura eteronormativa, cisnormativa e patriarcale. Per muoversi verso una società che sia capace di contenere le diversità in una convivenza pacifica è necessario che la scuola riconosca il proprio ruolo educativo, anche in relazione alle tematiche dell'identità sessuale. In questa prospettiva serve formare lз insegnanti su come parlare a scuola della molteplicità delle identità sessuali e delle famiglie arcobaleno. Per questi motivi la ricerca ha come campione un gruppo di insegnanti italianз di scuola primaria e dell'infanzia e di studentɜ di Scienze della Formazione Primaria e indaga i loro atteggiamenti in merito alle tematiche legate all'identità sessuale e alle famiglie arcobaleno e le loro opinioni ed esperienze nel trattare questi argomenti a scuola. Dai dati è emersa una necessità formativa che ha portato alla realizzazione di un breve percorso di formazione docenti in merito agli stessi temi, svolto con una parte ristretta del campione di partenza. Nella presente dissertazione viene esplorato in modo particolare il tema delle famiglie arcobaleno, per cui nella parte iniziale vengono presentate in modo approfondito le famiglie arcobaleno (nel panorama italiano), e viene proposta una riflessione su perchè e come parlarne a scuola, mentre nella parte in cui viene presentata la ricerca vengono approfonditi i dati inerenti al tema delle famiglie arcobaleno.
