This thesis explores the phenomenon of technostress, analyzing its causes, consequences, and the factors that may amplify or mitigate its impact on workers’ well-being. Particular attention is given to the relationship between technostress and leadership styles, with a focus on transformational leadership in the context of virtual work. Through a review of recent literature, the role of this leadership style in reducing technostress and improving workers’ well-being is highlighted. Finally, the thesis emphasizes the importance of training in the dissemination of effective leadership practices, proposing strategies aimed at preventing technostress and enhancing well-being in the workplace.
Questa tesi esplora il fenomeno del tecnostress, analizzandone le cause, le conseguenze e i fattori che possono amplificarne o attenuarne l’impatto sul benessere dei lavoratori. Particolare attenzione è rivolta al legame tra tecnostress e stili di leadership, con un focus sulla leadership trasformazionale nel contesto del lavoro virtuale. Attraverso l’analisi della letteratura recente, viene evidenziato il ruolo di questo stile di leadership nel ridurre il tecnostress e nel migliorare il benessere dei lavoratori. Infine, la tesi sottolinea l’importanza della formazione per la diffusione di pratiche di leadership efficaci, proponendo strategie utili alla prevenzione del tecnostress e al miglioramento del benessere nei luoghi di lavoro.
