The thesis explores three main themes: territorial exploitation, gender-based violence, and migration in contemporary Peruvian literature, focusing on the work of Karina Pacheco Medrano. After an introductory overview of Peru’s cultural and geographical context and the author’s biography, the analysis concentrates on the novels Lluvia and Las orillas del aire, where environmental, social, and identity-related issues are closely intertwined. Through the examination of these works, it becomes evident how Pacheco Medrano uses narrative to denounce the open wounds inflicted on both the land and its people, weaving together historical memory and emotional depth in stories of resistance and loss.
