Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive disease that involves multiple areas of the central nervous system. Although it is a multisystem disease, the respiratory system, especially in adulthood, is affected by the onset of chronic bronchial infections and airflow obstructions, which can lead to the death of the patient.

La fibrosi cistica è una malattia autosomica recessiva che coinvolge più aree del sistema nervoso centrale. Nonostante sia una patologia multisistemica, l’apparato respiratorio, soprattutto in età adulta, risente dell’insorgenza di infezioni bronchiali croniche ed ostruzioni del flusso aereo, che possono portare alla morte del paziente.
