A comparative approach between Spanish and Italian fashion videos allows to examine the specialised language of fashion and the evolution of fashion communication from traditional media to social networks. Furthermore, it highlights influencers role in spreading fashion vocabulary, taking into account the differences and similarities between the two languages. Fashion videos transcripts are analysed, through the use of corpora, with the aim of identifying technical terms, loanwords, neologisms and key expressions, remarking the fashion communicative trends. A comparative glossary of key terms illustrates how the language of fashion tends to standardise, despite existing differences, due to the accessibility of digital platforms.
Un approccio comparativo tra video di moda spagnoli e italiani permette di esaminare il linguaggio specialistico della moda e l’evoluzione della comunicazione di tale settore dai media tradizionali ai social network. Si prosegue evidenziando il ruolo degli influencer nella diffusione di tale lessico e mettendo in luce le variazioni e le somiglianze tra le due lingue. Attraverso l’uso di corpora, si analizzano trascrizioni di video di moda con l’obiettivo di individuare termini tecnici, prestiti linguistici, neologismi ed espressioni caratteristiche, sottolineando le tendenze comunicative del fashion system. Il glossario comparato di termini chiave evidenzia come, nonostante le differenze, il linguaggio della moda tenda ad uniformarsi grazie alle piattaforme digitali, comuni a tutti.
