The thesis explores the impact of Large Language Models (LLMs) on adolescents, with particular attention to psychological and educational contexts. The first part analyzes the technical functioning of LLMs, the risks of epistemic exclusion, access asymmetries, and ethical and environmental implications. The second part focuses on the use of LLMs in psychological support contexts, with particular attention to chatbots and the forms of interaction as perceived by adolescents. The third part examines educational applications of LLMs, highlighting risks, actual uses, and possibilities for participation. The thesis adopts a community psychology perspective.
La tesi esplora l’impatto dei Large Language Model (LLM) sugli adolescenti con particolare attenzione agli ambiti psicologico ed educativo. Nella prima parte si analizzano il funzionamento tecnico dei modelli, i rischi di esclusione epistemica, le asimmetrie nell’accesso e le implicazioni etiche e ambientali. La seconda parte approfondisce l’uso degli LLM nei contesti di supporto psicologico, con particolare attenzione ai chatbot e alle forme di interazione percepite dagli adolescenti. La terza parte esamina le applicazioni educative degli LLM, mettendo in luce rischi, usi reali e possibilità di partecipazione. La tesi adotta una prospettiva di psicologia di comunità.
