In organic chemistry, some of the most important elements are not only the reagents, but also the solvents used in a reaction. Their nature, expecially regarding their green footprint and their availability to be still used today as solvents, in light of new european rules on safety and enviroment, is one of the major concerns in the modern chemistry. DES, deep eutectic solvents, are new solvents with high dissolvent power and low enviromental impact, and are suited to replace classic organic solvents, which have been used in organic chemistry up to today, but that might no longer be used in the future, due to european regulations.

Abstract
In organic chemistry, some of the most important elements are not only the reagents, but also the solvents used in a reaction. Their nature, expecially regarding their green footprint and their availability to be still used today as solvents, in light of new european rules on safety and enviroment, is one of the major concerns in the modern chemistry. DES, deep eutectic solvents, are new solvents with high dissolvent power and low enviromental impact, and are suited to replace classic organic solvents, which have been used in organic chemistry up to today, but that might no longer be used in the future, due to european regulations.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
