In today’s highly competitive environment, organizations are required to continuously innovate their human resource management practices in order to attract and retain the talent necessary to address challenges such as digital transformation and talent shortages, while remaining aligned with corporate strategies. This thesis first presents a bibliometric analysis of the existing literature, complemented by a cross-analysis and the development of a matrix, with the objective of providing a clear and objective framework of how human resource practices are defined and understood within academic research. Building on this foundation, the study then examines how these practices are implemented in a selected group of companies within the same province, offering an in-depth description of their approaches. The analysis allows the codification of practices and the identification of common best practices that characterize these organizations. Finally, the thesis explores the gap between the theoretical perspectives found in the literature and the actual practices observed in the field, highlighting implications for the future development of human resource management.

Abstract

Human resource management practices to face the current competitive environment: an empirical investigation
