The aim is to investigate how English is taught and learned in schools across South Africa, and how educational policies around English impact academic achievements and language attitude. Explore the role of English in educational context, the challenges faced by students in non-English speaking environments, and the consequences of English-based instruction on local language.
L’obiettivo è indagare come l’inglese viene insegnato e appreso nelle scuole del Sudafrica, e in che modo le politiche educative legate all’inglese influenzano i risultati scolastici e l’atteggiamento nei confronti della lingua. Si intende esplorare il ruolo dell’inglese nel contesto educativo, le difficoltà affrontate dagli studenti in ambienti non anglofoni e le conseguenze dell’insegnamento basato sull’inglese per le lingue locali.
