This thesis analyses the political and military consequences of the Memorandum signed in November 2019 between Turkey and the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA), an agreement that redefined the exclusive economic zone in the eastern Mediterranean and allowed Turkish military intervention in Libya. Starting from a historical and geopolitical reconstruction of the post-Gaddafi Libyan context, the work explores the causes and dynamics of the crisis, with particular attention to internal factions and relations with international actors. The core of the research is a detailed analysis of the Turkey-GNA Memorandum: the genesis of the agreement, its main contents, immediate reactions and consequences at the regional level, with a focus on the role of Turkey and Russia. Through a comparison of the political, economic and military strategies of Moscow and Ankara, the thesis assesses the impact of these interventions on the new geopolitical balance in the Mediterranean. Finally, reflections are offered on possible future scenarios for the Libyan crisis, considering the growing influence of external actors and the implications for the stability of the region.

Abstract
Finally, reflections are offered on possible future scenarios for the Libyan crisis, considering the growing influence of external actors and the implications for the stability of the region.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
