This thesis addresses the phenomenon of workaholism, a behavior that is increasingly widespread and requires particular attention. Work represents a fundamental aspect of individuals’ lives, contributing to the development of their personal and professional identity, as well as to their physical and psychological well-being. However, excessive involvement in work activities can lead to multiple negative outcomes, eventually resulting in a compulsive and uncontrollable need to work. This paper aims to analyze the theoretical evolution of the construct, distinguishing it from related but distinct concepts. Through the analysis of different types of workaholics and their consequences on individual and organizational well-being, it seeks to provide possible preventive measures, distinguishing between primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention, with particular attention to the role of perfectionism. It also aims to examine possible intervention and treatment strategies to address the disorder.

Abstract
It also aims to examine possible intervention and treatment strategies to address the disorder.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
