This thesis aims to explore the topic of teacher training in the management of students with neurodevelopmental disorders, with particular attention to the professional competencies, teaching strategies, and educational tools that promote inclusion and students' academic success. Following a theoretical overview of the main neurodevelopmental disorders and special educational needs within the school context, the thesis will examine the role of both initial and in-service teacher training, highlighting its strengths and critical issues. It will also investigate the main teaching strategies and educational tools currently adopted to support students with specific educational needs. The discussion will be enriched by reflections developed during an internship in a psychoeducational center, which provided the opportunity to directly observe educational interventions and support strategies for children and adolescents with learning difficulties, learning disorders, and heterogeneous educational needs, offering practical insights into the topic of teacher training.
