Con la presente revisione bibliografica si è potuto indagare le serie conseguenze della patologia depressiva sul benessere della donna e sulla qualità madre-bambino alla luce delle teorie classiche e quelle odierne. In questo contesto la figura dello psicologo è quanto mai importante sia un ambito terapeutico che preventivo, avendo uno sguardo attento sulle prime manifestazione del disagio femminile e materno.
