In this thesis we will study the connection between the spectrum of the Laplace operator on a generic 2-orbifold X and the unitary irreducible representations of the group PSL(2,R) with an approach called bootstrap. As a direct application we will find an upper bound on the lowest positive eigenvalue of the Schrodinger equation of a free particle on X.
In questa tesi studieremo il rapporto tra lo spettro dell'operatore Laplaciano su un generico 2-orbifold X e le rappresentazioni unitarie irriducibili del gruppo PSL(2,R) con un approccio chiamato bootstrap. Come applicazione diretta troveremo un upper bound sul più piccolo autovalore positivo dell'equazione di Schrodinger di una particella libera su X.
