Adolescence represents a particularly complex period during which boys and girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder experience even greater emotional difficulties and problems, compared to normotipic adolescents. In the literature, moreover, there is increasing evidence that adolescents with ASD are at high risk of developing psychiatric disorders such as depression and anxiety. Precisely for these reasons the main objective of the following study is to evaluate anxiety and brooding levels in adolescents between the ages of 13 and 20 with ASD without intellectual disability (N = 12), comparing them with those of typical developing peers (TD, N = 21). Standardized questionnaires were proposed both to adolescents in the two groups and to their parents in order to understand the possible relationships between the symptoms characteristic of the disorder and the emotional aspects mentioned above.

Abstract
Standardized questionnaires were proposed both to adolescents in the two groups and to their parents in order to understand the possible relationships between the symptoms characteristic of the disorder and the emotional aspects mentioned above.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
